A number of former University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball standouts are getting ready for another season of professional basketball overseas.
Many of the same players that enjoyed success in Europe last season are back under contract this season, with Panther players in France, Spain and Germany, among other countries. Most of the players have already seen their seasons get underway.
In all, eurobasket.com shows 10 former Panthers under contract with teams in either Europe or South America.
Clay Tucker is with Siviglia Wear Teramo in Italian Serie A, the top league in Italy. He is averaging 22.7 ppg in the first five games of season, with his team off to a 4-1 start. Last season, Tucker spent most of his time in the U.S., ranking in the top 10 in scoring while playing for the Arkansas Rim Rockers of the NBA Development League. He also played briefly at the end of last season for Le Mans in the French First Division.
Dylan Page is four games into his season with CB Granada in Spain's First Division. He averaged better than 17 points per game for Drac Inca in Spain last season.
Boo Davis is playing with Carmatic Pistoia in the Italian Second Division. Last season, he averaged nearly 14 points per game for Maccabi Givat Shmuel in Israel.
Adrian Tigert is with C.B. Blanes Almeria of Spain's Silver Division. He also averaged more than 17 points per game for Huesca in Spain a year ago.
Joah Tucker is with Limoges CSP Elite in France but has been sidelined in the early season with an injury. He averaged 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season for Le Havre (France).
Chris Hill is with Panevezys Techasas of Lithuania's top league. He was in the Romanian All-Star Game in averaging 15 points per game for CS Otepeni Bucuresti.
Nate Mielke is with Defensor Sporting of Uruguay's top league. In the early going of this season, Mielke is in the top five in the league in rebounding. Last year, he also played for Club Atletico Olimpia in Uruguay and for a squad in Chile.
Jason McCoy is with ITU Istanbul in Turkey after playing last season for KK Mornar Bar (Montenegro).
Jose Winston has joined TG Renesas Landshut of Germany after spending the past two seasons with TSV Dachau (Germany).
Shaun Fountain is with Asco Slask Wroclaw of the Polish First Division after starring in the Continental Basketball Association last year. He finished sixth in the CBA in scoring while leading the league in steals and finishing second in assists.
