Panthers Sign Dylan Omweno To Men’s Basketball Roster

Additon rounds out roster for 2026-27 campaign

June 10, 2026

MILWAUKEE – Dylan Omweno of Minneapolis, Minn., has signed with the Panthers and will play for the Milwaukee men's basketball team next season, head coach Bart Lundy announced today.

Omweno, a 6-foot, 2-inch guard, played last season at Trinidad State in Trinidad, Colo., where he averaged 12.5 points and 3.0 rebounds in just 19.0 minutes a game for the Trojans.

"We are excited about the addition of Dylan," Lundy said. "He is known as a shooter but has much more to his game. His character and work ethic make him a great fit with our incoming team."

He shot 41.5 percent (141-of-340) from the floor overall and 35.2 percent from deep, while also connecting on 79.2 percent of his free throws. He scored 20-or-more points in five games, highlighted by a 34-point explosion against Western Nebraska in late January where Omweno connected on nine three-pointers.

He spent his freshman season at Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa. In his one year at DMACC, he averaged 9.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per contest.

Omweno played at Eastview High School as a prep, where he memorably scored 25 points off the bench to help his team defeat Minnetonka in the 2023 Class 4A State Tournament.
