The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee doubles team of Kari Kastenholz and Ashley Clark dropped a pair of matches at the ITA Regionals in East Lansing, Mich., Friday afternoon.
Kastenholz and Clark fell to a team from Michigan State in the first round before falling to a tandem from league-rival Detroit in the consolation round.
In their opening match, UWM's tandem was on the short end of an 8-1 score against Marianne Eelens and Pascale Schnitzer from MSU. Then, in the consolation round, the Titan team of Annie Moore and Svetlana Flankova beat Kastenholz and Clark, 9-7.
The play this week at the ITA Regionals brings the fall season to a close for the Panthers. UWM will start the spring season Jan. 28 at Marquette.
