Traci Litscher moved into the Flight B singles finals and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee won a total of five singles matches on day two of the Chicago State Invitational.
The Panthers also claimed a pair of doubles wins, while Ashley Schoneman added two victories in singles.
Litscher, who won two matches on Friday, moved into the finals with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Michele Parad of the University of Chicago. Litscher will face Ade Omodele-Lucien of the University of Chicago in the finals Sunday. Lucien advanced to the finals with a 6-1, 6-1 win over UWM's Lauren Fenley in the other Flight B semifinal.
Schoneman won a pair of matches in the consolation bracket of Flight B and will play for third place today. She defeated Kelly Ewert of Ferris State, 6-1, 6-0, before downing Stephanie Millis of Evansville, 6-3, 6-3.
In other singles play, Ashley Clark split two matches, downing Anuja Parikh of Chicago when Parikh retired with an injury before falling to Beth Peyton of Evansville, 7-5, 6-2. And, Samantha Drews claimed a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Stacy Brown of Ferris State.
In doubles action Saturday, UWM claimed a 3-0 win over Ferris State and a 2-1 win over Chicago. The doubles tandems of Schoneman and Ali O'Neal along with Litscher and Drews each won both of their matches.
