HOMESTEAD, Fla. -
Rider rallied for two runs in the sixth inning and another in the eighth to claim a 5-3 win over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Tuesday night in the Panthers' opening game in the Homestead Challenge.
Aaron Bushong absorbed the loss for UWM (0-5), which collected just four hits in the game.
The Panthers led 3-2 entering the sixth but fell behind following a two-run home run by Carl Loadenthal. Rider (2-4) then added an insurance run in the eighth.
UWM continues play in Florida throughout the week, with upcoming contests scheduled against St. Peters, Stony Brook and Harvard.
