Nebraska Beats UWM, 10-1

LINCOLN, Neb. - UWM's offense could muster just four hits and the Panthers hit into three double plays as nationally-ranked Nebraska pulled away for a 10-1 win Tuesday afternoon.

The Cornhuskers (18-9), who played in the College World Series last year and are ranked as high as 13th nationally this season, scored five times in the final two innings to put the game away.

UWM starter Aaron Bushong (1-2) was knocked out of the game in the fourth inning and took the loss. Brian Duensing went seven innings to claim the win for Nebraska.

John Vanden Berg had the only RBI for the Panthers (4-9), who have lost five straight games. Drew Anderson had four hits and three RBI to lead the Cornhuskers, who pounded out 17 hits.

The two teams play again Wednesday at 2:05 p.m.
