UWM scored three times over the final three innings to claim a 6-3 win over Northern Illinois is a non-conference baseball game Tuesday afternoon.
The win is the sixth in the last seven outings for the Panthers (10-11), who have moved to within one game of the .500 mark.
Rob Erickson (1-1) pitched 2 1/3 innings of one-hit relief to claim the win. Matt Freisleben recorded the final four outs for his third save.
UWM trailed 3-2 entering the top of the seventh inning but scored twice in the seventh and twice in the eighth to claim their third-straight come-from-behind win.
Charlie Reschke led the offensive attack with two hits and two RBI, while Dave Pudlosky and Steve Guden added two hits apiece for UWM.
Northern Illinois stranded 10 runners in falling to 12-20.
The Panthers return to action Thursday afternoon, playing at Valparaiso. UWM then opens a four-game Horizon League series at Butler Friday afternoon.
