The UW-Milwaukee baseball team kicked off its home season with a bang as it pummeled Concordia, 25-2, in a 9-inning contest. Junior transfer Eric Goerdt hit two homeruns in the win in just two at bats for the Panthers.
The win moved the Panthers to 9-12 on the season, giving them four wins in a row.
Senior pitcher Chad Sadowski posted the win after allowing one hit in one inning on the mound. Sadowski and Scott Gillitzer also hit homers for UWM.
Corey Clemmons started the game on the mound, going for four innings with six strikeouts. Quintin Oldenburg finished the game on the mound for the Panthers with five Ks in two innings of work.
The Panthers play host to Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday, April 5. The doubleheader starts at 4 p.m. at Henry Aaron Field. UWM starts its conference season by traveling to Butler on April 7-9 for a four-game stand.
