The UWM women?s tennis team took seond place at the Western Illinois Invitational, held in Macomb, Ill., this weekend.

Leading the way for the Panthers was a second place finish by sophomore Julie Heling (Menasha, Wis.). Kristine Miller (Green Bay, Wis.), Jamie Martin (Marshfield, Wis.), Katie Martin (Marshfield, Wis.), and Leanne Groehler (Watertown, Wis.) each took third in their respective divisions. Molly Caulk (Rockford, Ill.) and Kate Laveck placed fourth.

UWM won 25 of 44 matches overall.

UWM returns to action on Saturday, September 25 against Wright State.
