MILWAUKEE - The UWM women's soccer team fell to .500 on the season after losing to Villanova, 1-0, at Uihlein Soccer Park Friday night.
The Panthers outshot the Wildcats 22-7 but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities.
"We're a very good team, but we're just missing one element, and that's finishing in the goal area," said UWM coach Michael Moynihan. "We have people who can, but they just haven't done it yet."
Villanova scored the game's lone goal in the 67th minute when Kathy Minnich pushed a shot past a diving Liz Ulicki into the goal. Ulicki made three saves in the losing effort.
The Panthers play host to regionally-ranked Oakland on Sunday. Kick off is 2:30 p.m.
