Heather Newberry joined the Milwaukee coaching staff in the fall of 2016. She will work with cross country in the fall, as well as the distance and jumps groups during the track & field season.
Newberry comes to UWM after four years at Arkansas State where she helped the Wolves to a pair of Sun Belt Championships.Â
The Crystal Lake, Ill. native has a wide range of running capabilities, from the 600m sprint all the way to the 3000m steeplechase.
In her first year with Milwaukee, Newberry helped coach the Horizon League Freshman of the Year in Mikayla Fox. Fox was joined by senior Ally Anich as all-league finishers in 2016, leading Milwaukee to a third-place finish at the league championships.
