Luke Krauser joined the Milwaukee track & field coaching staff in the fall of 2019 and specializes in coaching throws for the Panthers.

Despite the cancelation of the 2020 Outdoor season, Krauser was an integral part to Milwaukee's indoor season success as well as in the recruiting process for the Black & Gold in his first season.

As the throws coach, Krauser guided the Panthers to nine podium finishes at the Horizon League Indoor Championships, including one League runner-up. Additionally, he helped the throwers to unprecedented personal bests to turn in six new top-10 finishes in program history.

Krauser comes to MKE after a four-year stop at Upper Iowa University as the Peacocks throws coach for the track and field teams. He also took part in the recruitment for both programs.

During his time with the Peacocks, Krauser helped coach his most-improved female thrower, Brinn Grunder, from a high school personal-best in shot put of 41’ 11.5” to a nearly 8’ improvement for a collegiate best of 49’ 8.25” in only three years. In addition, after learning the collegiate weight throw in just her sophomore year, Coach Krauser helped guide Grunder to a collegiate best weight throw of 61’5”.

In his four seasons at Upper Iowa, Krauser coached student-athletes to set school records in shot put, weight throw, and hammer as well as produced two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Champions in both weight throw and shot put.
