2017 Outdoor: Crowned league high jump champion after clearing the bar at 2.09m (6-10 1/4) to help Milwaukee dominate the high jump field at the league meet ... won the high jump competition all seven times clearing the bar on the season ... started the year winning high jump with a height of 1.98m (6-6) at the Edmonds Invite ... moved up to 2.01m (6-7) for the win at Marquette April 7 ... continued to progress to a height of 2.07m (6-9 1/2) for the win at Benedictine one week later ... again named league athlete of the week after clearing a PR height of 2.10m (6-10 3/4), tying him for third in UWM history with the win at the Drake Alternative April 29 ... topped the talented high jump field with a leap of 2.03m (6-8) at the Dr. Keeler Invite May 11 ... also competed in long jump twice on the season.
2017 Indoor: Had a big start to his collegiate career, bringing home the silver medal in high jump at his first Horizon League Championship meet ... tied his season best at the league meet ... made his collegiate debut Jan. 14 at the Karl Schlender Invite, taking second in high jump ... one week later, was named Horizon League Athlete of the Week after climbing into the record books after clearing 2.05m (6-8 3/4) for the win at the home Tierney Classic ... that height ranks him eighth in school history ... went to the Meyo Invite at Notre Dame as a freshman, taking 12th in high jump at 2.03m (6-8) ... was runner-up in high jump and also competed in long jump, taking seventh at the Panther Tune-Up Feb. 18.
High School
A multi-sport athlete at Kewaskum High School ... qualified for the state track & field championships each of his final three years in high jump, finishing third as a senior ... also earned a trip to state in the 800m as a senior, taking ninth ... was a team captain all four years ... played football all four years, earning all-conference honors as wide receiver and defensive end ... also played basketball all four years as a power forward.

Son of Troy Hanson and Jenni Bauer ... chose UWM because it produces some of the finest student-athletes in the state ... lists most memorable sports experience as anchoring his team's 4x400 relay, recovering a 40m deficit and winning by .01 ... born Oct. 31, 1997.
