    Assistant Track & Field Coach
Justin Barber is in his second season coaching throwing events with Milwaukee.

In just two seasons with the Panthers, he has already made a big impact. At the Horizon League Championships, Milwaukee placed on the podium 41 times in the five throwing events between indoor and outdoor over the past two years. In fact, at the outdoor championships alone, the Panthers won a pair of league titles and finished runner-up five more times.

Also on his watch, Silas Petrie qualified for the NCAA West Regional in hammer throw. Additionally, Panther throwers were named league athletes of the week five times since he joined the coaching staff.

The Panther record board has also changed quite a bit since Barber came to campus, with three top marks already reset since 2015.

Barber comes to UWM after an outstanding four-year career with Minnesota. As a Gopher, Barber made it all the way to the NCAA West Regional during his junior season where he finished 29th overall in discus.

Collegiately, Barber posted impressive marks in all throwing events, highlighted by his PRs in discus (57.36m), hammer throw (60.93m) and weight throw (21.34m).

While coaching, Barber has also continued to compete. At the 2016 Tierney Quad, he broke the Klotsche Fieldhouse weight throw record with a toss of 20.62m (67-8).
