MILWAUKEE – The next episode of the "PounceCast" – a feature that provides more content and helps tell the stories behind Milwaukee Panther Athletics – is available as of today. 
 
The podcast, hosted by Matt Menzl, is designed to take listeners behind the scenes with key members of the Panther community.
 
The next episode (31:47) features Milwaukee baseball head assistant coach, as well as pitching coach, Cory Bigler, and is available HERE.

Bigler recently wrapped up his 24th season on the coaching staff at his alma mater, which is the main topic of today's episode – as Menzl and Bigler discuss the historic run into the NCAA Tournament regional championship and successful postseason the Panthers enjoyed in 2026.
 
During his time as a coach on the staff, Bigler has seen 18 players selected in the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft including 12 of his pitchers. Owen Rice was Bigler's most recent draftee, having been selected in the 20th round of the June 2024 draft.

Throughout his tenure on the staff, Bigler has overseen five of his pitchers earn Horizon League Pitcher of the Year honors, in addition to five Relief Pitcher of the Year winners, and a pair of pitchers earning league Newcomer of the Year titles. Bigler has helped coach 15 All-Horizon League First Team pitchers, as well as 12 All-League Second Team honorees.
 
The Milwaukee Athletic Department announced the creation of this monthly podcast back in January of 2023.
