BASE Kibler ABCA All-Region 2026

Standout Season Lands Dominic Kibler on ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team

June 09, 2026

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Milwaukee's Dominic Kibler was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Midwest All-Region Second Team, as announced Tuesday morning.

The teams are selected by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), with the process overseen by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America and Coach of the Year Committee. The All-Region teams are divided into eight regions.

Kibler put together an impressive first campaign with the Panthers after transferring to his home-state team following two seasons at Kent State. He earned Horizon All-League First Team honors in the flex position after splitting time between catcher and designated hitter for much of the season.

Kibler was the only player to start in all 60 games for Milwaukee this season, finishing with a slash line of .300/.451/.537 and a .988 OPS. He tied for the team lead with 60 RBIs while recording 61 hits with 13 doubles, one triple, and 11 home runs.

His 43 walks rank as fifth-most in a single season in program history. He scored 47 runs and stole 13 bases in 17 attempts. Defensively, he had 190 putouts with 21 assists while throwing out nine would-be basestealers.

Kibler becomes the first All-Region selection for the Panthers since the 2019 season, when Tyler Bordner was named to the All-Mideast Region Second Team. Overall, Kibler's selection is the 14th ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honoree and the eighth to receive second-team recognition.

Northern Kentucky catcher Jake Paulick was also on the Midwest All-Region Second Team, while Youngstown State starting pitcher Braden Gebhardt earned East All-Region Second Team honors. The trio represented the Horizon League on this year's All-Region teams.

Milwaukee finished the season with 27 wins, including 14 Horizon League victories, and went a perfect 3-0 in the Horizon League Championship to secure the league's automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Championship.

The Panthers were placed in the Auburn Regional and defeated both No. 4 Auburn and UCF to become the first Horizon League program to advance to a regional championship game through the winner's bracket.
