MILWAUKEE – Kyle Rechlicz has announced the addition of Jaeda Murphy, who will be joining the Panthers as a transfer for the 2026-27 season.
Â
"Jaeda is a big addition to our Panther Family," said Rechlicz. "She's a dynamic point guard coming in with 180 assists over two years. She understands how to lead and elevate the players around her."
Â
"What stands out even more than her ability to score and pass is her approach to the game and to people," Rechlicz added. "She's a culture player and brings great competitive energy every day. She also comes from an outstanding, supportive family and is exactly the kind of person we want in our program."
Â
Murphy spent the past two seasons at Mississippi Valley State, where she was a two-year starter for the Devilettes. In 60 career games at MVSU, she averaged over 31 minutes per game and 7.8 points per game, including a career-high 9.3 points per game this past season as a sophomore.
Â
During the 2025-26 season, Murphy finished the year ranked in the top 250 NCAA Division I student-athletes in assists per game (3.6), and free throw percentage (.759). She was also third in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in minutes per game (33.5), fourth in both total assists (103) and assist per game, eighth in free throw percentage, 10th in steals per game (1.7), and 17th in scoring.
Â
Murphy played at Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School in Flossmoor, Illinois, where she earned multiple honors with the Vikings. She was named Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Third Team All-State, South Suburban Blue Conference Player of the Year, and the team's Most Valuable Player as a senior.
Â
Academically, she plans to study biology once at UW-Milwaukee.
Â
Murphy joins Nataya Donaldson and Kylie Butler, who previously announced their intent to join the Panthers in 2026-27.
