INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced its postseason awards and All-League teams on Monday afternoon, with Milwaukee's
Jorey Buwalda selected to the All-League Third Team.
Â
Buwalda was a consistent presence in the Panther lineup in 2025-26, starting in all 30 of her appearances this season, missing one game in late December. She finished the regular season second on the team in total minutes played (839) and minutes per game (28.0).
Â
A scoring presence both inside and out, Buwalda paced the Panther offense with 357 points, averaging 11.9 points per game while knocking down a team-best 124 field goals. She also ranked among the team's top five in three-pointers made with 18 and converted 91-of-116 (78.6 percent) from the free-throw line.
Â
On the glass, she ranked second in the Horizon League in total rebounds (257) and rebounds per game (8.6). She was also second in the league with 182 defensive rebounds and third among Horizon League student-athletes with 75 offensive boards.
Â
In addition, she contributed 47 assists, second-most on the team, and defensively led the Panthers with 22 blocks, while ranking third on the team with 21 steals.
Â
This marks the second time in her career that Buwalda has received postseason honors from the Horizon League. Following the 2023-24 season, she was named to the
All-Freshman Team.
Â
With her selection to the All-League Third Team, she becomes the first Panther to earn All-League honors since Kendall Nead in 2023-24, when Nead was named to the
Second Team. Buwalda is just the second Panther in program history to be selected to the Third Team, joining Brandi Bisping (
2019-20).
Â
Milwaukee opens postseason play on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. when the Panthers host the Detroit Mercy Titans in the Play-In Round of the 2025-26 Barbasol Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship.
