Panthers Secure Victory over Thunder

Newcomers pace Milwaukee in dual meet

November 06, 2026

WHEATON, Ill. - The Milwaukee women's swim and dive program earned its second victory in as many weeks, downing Wheaton College with a final score of 125-70 at the Jonathan Lederhouse Natatorium Friday night.

For the individuals, Tatum Scully continued to thrive in her freshman campaign, taking first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:38.75. She followed it up with a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle, completing the event in 53.78 seconds.

Fellow freshman Georgia Sone took first in the 200 freestyle, covering the distance in 1:58.52. Kambree Draper and Andrea Torres Sosa both won their respective events as well.

Milwaukee wrapped up the day by securing first in the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.

The Panthers moved to 33-3 all-time against the Thunder, as they have now won 24 consecutive duals dating back to 2002.

"For this meet the athletes get to pick their own events," head coach Kyle Clements said. "As a coach it's always fun for me to see the swimmers take ownership of their races. Seeing them choose their primary events to work through the details or watching them swim an off event to give themselves a break from the norm is always fun. We have one more training week and then we head to Indy for our midseason meet and see where we really are."

Milwaukee will conclude the 2026 portion of its schedule in a couple of weeks, traveling to Indiana to take on IU Indy's House of Champions Meet. The event will last from Thursday, Nov. 19 to Saturday, Nov. 21 at the IU Natatorium.
