MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee swim & dive team swept the Horizon League weekly awards after an impressive showing in the MKE Time Trials featuring MSOE.
 
Gunnar Seversen and Maddi Hayashi were named Swimmers of the Week, while Will Francis and Kristina Wittmann took home Diver of the Week honors.
 
Seversen received his second career Horizon League Swimmer of the Week nod after a record performance in the Klotsche Natatorium. The sophomore took first in three events across the two-day meet, setting two facility records. Seversen's Klotsche bests came in the 500 Freestyle (4:26.84) and the 1650 Freestyle (15:47.37). His final victory came in the 400 IM where he finished with a 3:59.62 effort.
 
Hayashi earns her first weekly Horizon League award after a two-victory outing at the MKE Time Trials. She touched the wall first in the 100 Butterfly and 200 Butterfly, turning in times of 57.73 and 2:06.03, respectively. Hayashi also achieved a season-best time in the 200 IM (2:12.13).
 
The Horizon League Male Diver of the Week nod goes to Francis after he swept the diving events against MSOE. In the 1-meter Dive, Francis notched a 256.65-point effort. He also won the 3-meter Dive with his 272.03-point outing.
 
Wittmann is the Horizon League's Female Diver of the Week after her two-victory performance in the Klotsche Natatorium. Wittmann won the 1-meter Dive and the 3-meter Dive with scores of 268.80 and 265.58.

The Panthers gear up for a Horizon League home match up with Green Bay on Jan. 24 in the Klotsche Natatorium. The meet will begin at 11:00 a.m.
