MILWAUKEE – A season-opening series against defending NCAA Division I National Champion LSU anchors a challenging non-conference slate for Milwaukee baseball, as the Panthers' 56-game 2026 schedule was announced by head coach
Shaun Wegner on Tuesday morning.
Milwaukee is slated to play 22 home games at Franklin Field in 2026, including visits from Horizon League opponents Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Wright State, and Youngstown State. Non-conference home contests include Butler, UIC, Iowa, St. Thomas, and Valparaiso.
The Panthers' schedule features multiple power conference matchups and NCAA Tournament-caliber opponents, beginning the season against the defending national champion LSU Tigers from Feb. 13–15.
The season opens with a four-week road swing, starting with a three-game set at LSU before a visit to Duke from Feb. 20–22. Duke qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season and advanced to the Super Regionals. Milwaukee then heads to Evansville from Feb. 27–Mar. 1, followed by a two-game midweek series against Minnesota inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Mar. 3–4.
The road trip continues with a weekend series at Southeast Missouri State from Mar. 6–8, before a midweek game at Purdue on Mar. 10. Horizon League play begins on the road at Northern Kentucky from Mar. 13–15, followed by a midweek stop at Western Illinois on Mar. 17.
Milwaukee opens its home schedule on Mar. 20–22, welcoming Wright State to Franklin Field. The Panthers remain home the following weekend to host non-conference foe Butler from Mar. 27–29, before a midweek matchup against UIC on Mar. 31.
April begins with a home series against Youngstown State from Apr. 2–4, followed by a non-conference contest with Iowa on Apr. 7. The Panthers then return to the road for games at Oakland from Apr. 10–12 and Central Michigan on Apr. 13.
Milwaukee hosts Northern Kentucky from Apr. 17–19 before welcoming St. Thomas on Apr. 21. The Panthers then head back out for a league series at Wright State from Apr. 24–26, followed by midweek games at Northwestern on Apr. 28 and Notre Dame on Apr. 29.
The Panthers return to the road for a three-game series at UNLV from May 1–3. Milwaukee then returns home to host Valparaiso for a School Day game on May 5 before a midweek contest at UIC on May 6.
League play resumes with a road series at Youngstown State from May 8–10 and a midweek visit to Northern Illinois on May 12, before finishing the regular season at home against Oakland from May 14–16.
Horizon League postseason play is scheduled for May 20–23, with the league's five-team tournament. The conference champion will advance to the 2026 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, with regional play slated for May 28–31.
