MILWAUKEE – Lola Wojcik of the Milwaukee women's soccer team has been named the Horizon League Under Armour Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
Wojcik played very well in two games for the Panthers this week, scoring three points in each game as she scored twice and added two assists in Milwaukee's 2-0 week that moved them to 4-0 in Horizon League play.
She started things Thursday by scoring the second goal and assisting the third in MKE's 5-0 shutout of Purdue Fort Wayne. Then, on Sunday, she helped the Panthers to the 3-2 victory with the game-winner in the 70th minute, breaking the 2-2 deadlock. She also assisted the first goal of the game and finished with a career-best seven shot attempts.
It's the sixth award of the season for the program, joining
Kristina Karlof (Offensive Sept. 15),
Ashlyn Skinner-Barrett (Offensive Sept. 8),
Zoey Pagels (Offensive Aug. 18), and
Bella Hollenbach (twice).
