LePine, Lorenz, Carlisle Set to Compete at U.S. Open Championships

MILWAUKEE – Gabrielle LePine, Sam Lorenz, and Caleb Carlisle will represent Milwaukee swim & dive at the Toyota U.S. Open Championships in Austin, Texas, on Thursday. The long course meters meet will be held at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center from December 3-6.
 
LePine is set to race in the 50 LCM Breaststroke and the 100 LCM Breaststroke. In her last outing at the House of Champions Invitational, she grabbed first-place victories in both the 50 Breaststroke and 100 Breaststroke turning in times of 28.09 and 1:01.05, respectively. This performance earned LePine Horizon League Female Swimmer of the Week honors, the first of her junior season and fifth of her career.
 
Lorenz will swim in the 50 LCM Backstroke, 50 LCM Freestyle, and the 100 LCM Backstroke at the U.S. Championships. He has been dominant for the Panthers in his sophomore campaign and is also coming off a Horizon League Swimmer of the Week nod, the first of his career. Lorenz poured in five first-place finishes and smashed six program records over the three-day House of Champions Invitational. His individual program records came in the 50 Freestyle (19.68), 100 Backstroke (45.75), and 200 Backstroke (1:43.49), with his 100 Backstroke time coming in below the NCAA Division 1 Championships qualifying standard. He also turned in school record finishes in the 400 Freestyle Relay (2:57.40), 400 Medley Relay (3:12.51), and the 200 Medley Relay (1:26.64).
 
Carlisle will Compete in the 50 LCM Backstroke, 50 LCM Butterfly, and 100 LCM Butterfly He has put together a strong stretch of performances for the Black & Gold this season, coming off a third-place 100 Butterfly finish at IU Indy's House of Champions Invitational. The sophomore currently holds the Panther program record for the 100 Butterfly, a mark he set in February 2025.
 
The Panthers will be back in the pool in 2026 when they host MSOE for the MKE Time Trials. The meet will be held in the Klotsche Natatorium on January 16-17.
