Women’s Soccer Shines As Horizon League Hands Out Postseason Awards

Panthers claim five major awards; nine all-league choices

October 31, 2025

MILWAUKEE – Mallory McGuire was named Horizon League Player of the Year and the Offensive Player of the Year, Bella Hollenbach was selected as the Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year, Ellie Rebmann was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year, and Kevin Boyd was tabbed the Horizon League Coach of the Year to highlight the selections for the Milwaukee women's soccer team when the league office announced the all-league teams and specialty award winners Friday afternoon.

Following an 8-0-2 record to claim the Horizon League regular-season title for the fifth consecutive year and the 10th time in the last 11 seasons, the Milwaukee women's soccer team saw nine total student-athletes get honored – five first-team selections, two second-team honorees, and a pair of third-team selections. The five first-teamers marks a tie for the second-highest total in program history.

Joining McGuire, Hollenbach, and Rebmann on the All-Horizon League First Team are Anna Champine and Lola Wojcik. Jenni Andjelic and Emily Petring were the second-team choices, with Kristina Karlof and Natalie Zodrow rounding out the award winners with spots on the all-league third team.

McGuire is the 10th Panther all-time to win league Player of the Year honors and the third consecutive, joining Lainey Higgins last year and Kayla Rollins in 2023. Her selection as the Offensive Player of the Year marks the sixth time in program history to claim those honors (Rollins won back-to-back in 2023/2024).

Hollenbach gives MKE the Goalkeeper of the Year for the fourth time in the past five seasons, joining Parker Donahugh in 2024, Kendall Edwards in 2023 and Elaina LaMacchia in 2021.

Rebmann's selection as the top defensive player marks the eighth time for the program and the first since Rachel Phillpotts in 2021.

Boyd picks up his first-ever League Coach of the Year accolades, finally breaking through for the honor after leading his team to a Horizon League record 39-game unbeaten streak (31-0-8) in regular-season competition over his four-year career with the Panthers. He's the third different coach to pick up the award in program history.

McGuire has made quite the splash in her first season with the Panthers, finishing the regular season as the top point scorer in the Horizon League with 24 points – tying for the league lead with nine goals while also sitting in a tie for third with her six assists.

Hollenbach earned the starting spot early in the season and, once league play began, has been hard to beat. In league-only games, she posted a 0.72 goals-against average, a league-best .841 save percentage, and five shutouts.

Rebmann continues to make a name for herself on both sides of the ball, improving on her second-team status from 2024. In addition to helping lead the defense to a league-best 0.70 GAA in conference matches, she added 10 points on offense, scoring a pair of goals while adding six assists. Her assist total sits tied for third in the conference.

Champine repeated her spot as a first-team honoree and has been a mainstay for the MKE defense since arriving on campus as a freshman, starting all 76 games she has appeared in since the start of the 2022 campaign.

Wojcik broke through this fall and has been on a tear of late, currently sitting tied for sixth with her career-best 19 points, coming on seven goals and five assists. Since netting her first goal of the season Sept. 14, she closed the regular season with a flurry, finding the back of the net in six of the final eight contests, adding four of her assists in that span.

Andjelic continues to be a steady presence in the midfield and has now run her consecutive-games started streak to 58 – each match since the start of the 2023 campaign. This fall, she has tied her career-high with three goals and has seven points total (3G/1A).

Petring has been stellar, doing most of her work off the bench. Despite starting just three total times, the super-sub sits fourth in the league with her career-best 20-point total, coming on seven goals and six assists. She has produced all of that offense despite playing just 60 percent of the total minutes (on average) of the top three scorers ahead of her, topping 50 minutes played just once since the start of September.

Karlof continues to produce for the Panthers, sitting tied for ninth in the Horizon League with her career-best 17 points, coming on six goals and five assists. She has been highly-effective as well, producing those 17 points on just 14 total shots on the campaign. She has two game-winners and also had the first "Olimpico" for the program since 2019 earlier this fall, finding her impressive corner-kick goal earning the No. 3 spot on ESPN's "SportsCenter Top 10 Plays" nationally.

Zodrow brings a fierce side to the midfield, adding to her All-Freshman accolades from a year ago. She has started all 18 games, producing a career-best six points (1G/4A) and 20 total shot attempts.
