October 31, 2025

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee swimming & diving team hosted Wheaton (Ill.) College on Halloween night in the Klotsche Natatorium.

The Black & Gold defeated the Thunder 141-59 to secure its second win of the season, bringing the team's overall record to 2-2.

"It was great to be back home tonight," added head coach Kyle Clements. "This is a meet that we love, and it gives us an opportunity to practice a number of different things. We get to swim some different events, work on our warmup and cool down plans, and we get to see the results of the hard work that we have been putting in over the weeks."

Gunnar Seversen is continuing to put together an impressive sophomore season, as he touched the wall first in both of his events on the evening. In the 200 Freestyle Relay, the team of Seversen, Max Dexter, Josh Carroll, and Jared Bruce clocked a time of 1:25.60. Seversen also recorded a time of 1:37.05 in the 200 Freestyle, setting a program record in the event. The record was previously set in February 2025 by Charlie House (1:37.90).

Senior Bruce made his impact felt in the Klotsche Natatorium Friday night with two victories coming in the 200 Free Relay and the 100 Freestyle (47.34).

Aleksander Piljevic put together a solid performance for the Panthers, also recording two victories on the night.
