MILWAUKEE – Head coach
Mark Goldin has announced a pair of additions to the roster of the Milwaukee women's tennis team for next school year.
Honoka Yamashita and Elisa Rubio have both signed and are set to play for the Panthers.
They join Nikola Nikolajeva, who signed in December, to round out Goldin's incoming recruiting class for next school year.
"I am excited to be adding so much new talent to the roster for Fall 2024 with the three new Panthers joining the family," Goldin said. "These are all great tennis players and good people and will be great additions for us both on and off the court."
Yamashita comes to the Panthers from Japan and holds a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 8.7 in singles. Rubio is from France and her UTR is 7.9 for singles.
Nikolajeva comes to Milwaukee from Riga, Latvia, and holds a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 8.6 singles/8.5 doubles.
The UTR Rating was created by UTR Sports as a global rating system that promotes fair and competitive play across the tennis world. All players, regardless of age, gender, geography, or skill level, are rated on the same scale based on actual match results.
