MILWAUKEE – Susie Johnson and the Milwaukee volleyball coaching staff are excited to announce the addition of five signees, that will be joining the Panthers beginning in the fall of 2025.
 
The class features Braylin Bosetski of De Pere, Wis., Julia Kellner of Racine, Wis., Josie Noble of Caledonia, Mich., Ella Schuetz of Lake Mills, Wis., and Samantha Vanda of Geneva, Ill.
 
"This class is a combination of size, physicality, and athleticism and all of them have a competitive edge," commented Johnson. "We're excited about what this group can bring to our team … we have a need to compete for playing time right away, so I look forward to seeing where that goes once they get to campus."
 
Bosetski was a two-sport athlete with the Redbirds of De Pere High School having competed in volleyball and track. In 2024, she was a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection as a senior and earned Co-Player of the Year honors in the Fox River Classic Conference.
 
This year, the libero was also a team captain and helped the team to a 19-win season and a spot in the WIAA Regional Finals. She had over 900 digs from 2022 through the 2024 season including a career-high 537 as a senior in 2024. She earned WVCA All-Academic Honors as both a junior and a senior. Bosetski played club for FC Elite Volleyball based out of Menasha.
 
Bosetski will enter Milwaukee with the intentions of studying pre-physical therapy.
 
"Braylin comes from a very strong high school program," noted Johnson. "She is very positive and a team-first player. She has been a leader on both her high school and club teams, and I am looking to see how that translates into college."
 
Coming from nearby Racine, Kellner has been a two-sport athlete during her high school career at Racine Lutheran, playing both volleyball and basketball. While with the Crusader volleyball program, she helped the team to a conference championship in 2023, while also helping the basketball program to a pair of regional championships and sectional final appearances. Kellner was named All-County Player of the Year as a senior and has also been an AVCA All-State honoree twice thus far in her career. She was an All-County honoree throughout high school, and a First Team All-Conference and earned Team MVP honors all four years.
 
During her senior season, she finished the year with 470 kills, giving her 1,547 throughout her time in high school. She has also been one of the top rebounders and shot blockers on the basketball team. In the classroom, she has been on the High Honor Roll throughout high school and is also a member of the National Honor Society. She played club volleyball for Epic Volleyball Club based in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
 
Kellner is currently undecided in terms what she intends to major in at this time.
 
"One thing that's unique about Julia is she has size, but she can play a lot of positions," added Johnson. "That versatility has really helped her get a great understanding of the game. She is competitive and a great teammate."
 
Noble comes to Milwaukee from Caledonia, Michigan, just outside of Grand Rapids, where she played as a member of the Fighting Scots volleyball team for Caledonia High School. While there she earned several awards including All-State Honorable Mention in 2022, and has been a two-time All-Region selection, as well as being an All-Conference honoree on several occasions.
 
This fall she was a team captain of the volleyball team and academically is a member of the National Honor Society. She played club volleyball for Rise Academy and FaR Out Volleyball Club, both based in the Grand Rapids area.
 
Noble is undecided in terms of her major at this time but is interested in the business field.
 
"Josie has a great attitude, is very coachable and is very physical as a middle," said Johnson. "She really likes to block and attack, so this is a great opportunity for us to have a player like that come into the program."
 
Hailing from Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Schuetz joins the Panthers from Lakeside Lutheran High School, where she was a four-sport athlete lettering in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and track & field. This year, she helped lead the Warriors to a WIAA Sectional Semifinal and was a part of three Capitol North Conference Championship teams. Last season, she was a Second Team All-State honoree after being named Conference Player of the Year and earned First Team All-League honors, she was an honorable mention selection in 2022.
 
A two-time team captain and a member of the National Honor Society, Schuetz set the single-season record in school history for kills with 583 while hitting .315 as a senior, totaling 1,288 career kills at Lakeside Lutheran. She also recorded 350 digs as a senior to give her 670 for her career. She played her club volleyball for Motion Volleyball in Sussex, River City Volleyball Club in Watertown, and for the Madtown Juniors Volleyball Club in Sun Prairie.
 
Schuetz intends to major in health care upon the start of her academic career at Milwaukee.
 
"Ella is very coachable and has a great level of athleticism as well as size," added Johnson.  "We're really excited to work with Ella, and looking forward to what the future holds for her in our program."
 
Vanda will come to Milwaukee from Geneva, Illinois, where she was a member of the Viking volleyball team at Geneva Community High School. Vanda earned a spot on the All-Conference Team in each of her last three seasons after an honorable mention spot as a freshman. She was also named to the All-Area Team in 2023.
 
While in high school, she amassed over 750 kills, over 550 digs and over 100 service aces. She also earned All-Tournament honors in 2021 and 2022, as well as All-Tournament by Prep IL in 2023. This past season, she was a team captain with the Vikings. At the club level, she most recently played for Club Fusion Volleyball based in Batavia, Illinois.
 
Upon the start of her academic career at Milwaukee, Vanda plans to major in business.
 
"Sam is athletic and has a great deal of quickness," noted Johnson. "She's left-handed, which adds a whole new dynamic to our offense … she's very versatile and also has the ability to play all the way around in our rotation."
