WSOC Class Signing 2024

Milwaukee Women’s Soccer Announces Incoming Recruiting Class

Group of three set to join Panthers next season

November 13, 2024

MILWAUKEE – Lauren Nidey of Waukee, Iowa, Addison Werth of Oregon, Wis., and Kiersten White of New Lenox, Ill., have all signed and announced their commitment to play soccer for the Panthers next season.

The class was announced by Milwaukee head coach Kevin Boyd today.

"Our 2025 class consists of just three players, as we were very specific on what our needs were," Boyd said. "We needed a goalkeeper and Lauren Nidey is going to be an excellent one. She's got nice size and she's got a couple pieces that you just can't coach – the athletic pieces and then she comes from a good club. We think she's going to be a really good keeper for us. Then we add Kiersten White, who is a midfielder that comes from a very good club. She has good feet and a sound mind. She's a good tactical and technical player, and we feel that she'll settle into our midfield very well in terms of what she brings. And then Addison Werth, who is a forward – her pace and explosiveness is really exceptional and we think she's going to be an impact player for us as well. In all, three players for us following a rather large class that we had this year. We didn't need a lot, and we knew that, and we went out and found what we really wanted and what we needed to piece into the roster that we currently have. We are quite happy with this class and look forward to welcoming them next fall."

Nidey is a three-time team captain and a four-year varsity starter at Waukee High School (Iowa), earning Team MVP honors in 2023 and 2022 while posting career totals of over 350 saves and an .880 save percentage.

She was a First Team Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association 3A All-State honoree in 2024 after a strong junior campaign in net that saw her record a 0.57 goals-against average and .918 save percentage (1,261 minutes, 90 saves, 8 GA). A 2024 First team Central Iowa Metropolitan League All-Conference honoree, she was also tabbed second-team all-state in 2023 and second-team all-conference as a sophomore and a freshman. The three-time CIML Academic All-Conference honoree (2022, 2023, 2024) was named Academic All-State Second Team in 2024. A multi-sport athlete, she is also a two-time varsity letterwinner for the basketball team, earning the "Coaches Award" in the 2021-22 season. The National Honor Society member has recorded over 150 hours of service time in the community.

Nidey plays for VSA Rush on the club side, serving as a three-time team captain (2022-25), winning the Iowa State Cup Championship in 2023 and the US Club Soccer National Championship in 2021. She was also part of the 2024 Girls Academy Midwest Talent ID and Girls Academy Advisory Panel Midwest Conference Rep 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.

Werth is a three-year team captain and honors student at Oregon (Wis.) High School. A fast-attacking forward, she has played an integral part of her team's appearances in the past three Wisconsin State Division 2 Championships bringing home the "gold ball" in 2024 and in 2022 and a runner-up showing in 2023. Last season, her goal stood up as the only score in the 1-0 state title game victory over Whitefish Bay to cap an 18-1-1 campaign for the Panthers in which they were the No. 1-ranked team in Division 2 heading into the postseason and included a fifth-consecutive conference title.

Her accomplishments include Second Team Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association All-State in 2024 following a 10-goal/11-assist campaign. That followed First-Team WSCA All-State honors in 2023 after a sophomore campaign in which she led the team in scoring after netting 17 goals and leading the team with 20 assists. She was named First-Team All-Badger Conference in both 2024 and 2023 and to the All-Midwest Region Team in 2024, the same season she picked up first-team status on the Wisconsin State Journal/WiscNews All-Area Team.

Werth made it to the Regional Level of ODP in the two years that she competed in the program, playing for the Midwest team in Orlando, Florida, in 2023 and 2022. She is finishing up her final season of club soccer with the Madison 56ers, winning multiple league championships while capping it off with the 2024 State Cup gold medal.

White plays in the midfield for Lincoln-Way West High School in New Lenox, Ill., and also has built a successful club career with Chicago Inter.

She was a member of the 2024 all-sectional team for the Warriors as a high school junior and named to the Chicagoland Soccer All-State Watch List. On the club side, she won the State Cup Championship in 2022 with Chicago Inter, earning all-region accolades for ECNL-RL (Elite Clubs National League).
