September 18, 2023

INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced its selections for player of the week for the fourth week of the 2023 volleyball season with Milwaukee middle blocker Ari Miller earning her second Player of the Week honor of the season after helping Milwaukee to a 2-1 record.

Miller led Milwaukee in points this week with better than 15 per match as she tallied 46.0 points over the team's trio of contests. Miller had 36 kills against just three errors on 78 attempts for a hitting percentage of .372.

Miller also added three service aces and 12 blocks, including two of the solo variety, to help contribute to her point total for the week. Defensively, she also added seven digs.

Through the team's first 13 matches on the season, Miller has a team-best 202.5 points with 162 kills, 11 service aces, and 52 blocks to lead the team in all categories. She has also contributed with 44 digs and six assists during the first stretch of the season.

Miller's .382 hitting percentage this season currently leads all Horizon League hitters while her kill total is second in the league. She also leads the conference in blocks, as well as assisted blocks with 52 and 45, respectively.

She is one of just two players in the Horizon League to clear 200 points on the season.

In 115 career matches, Miller has 1,342 kills and 368 blocks and 45 service aces for 1607.5 career points. She is currently tops in all-time attacking percentage, while she continues to work her way towards the top of the kills and blocks career marks in Panther program history.

This is the eighth selection of Miller's career and second of the season following her recognition earlier this season on September 5.

Milwaukee wraps up its non-conference season on Tuesday evening, when the Panthers visit Chicago State for a 6 p.m. first serve in the Jones Convocation Center.
