MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee placed 159 student-athletes on the 2023 Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced today by the conference office.
The Panthers checked in at second place on the overall school list this time, but have still led the Horizon League six times in the past 10 semesters. A total of 1,264 student-athletes earned the distinction league-wide with MKE's 159 total coming in just behind Youngstown State's total of 167.
Women's track & field/cross country led the way for Milwaukee with 29 members. Women's swim/dive was second with 23, with baseball close behind at 22.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify: Participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season, completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution, and a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
