DAYTON, Ohio – Following the conclusion of the 2023 Horizon League Baseball Championship, a pair of Milwaukee Panthers were selected to the All-Tournament Team as announced by the conference on Saturday evening.

After successful performances during the team's four games at Nischwitz Stadium, the double-play duo of
Marcus Cline and
Mark Connelly were recognized for their tournament efforts.

Cline went 7-for-19 for a .368 batting average over the team's four games including an impressive showing in the team's opening win over Youngstown State, where he went 3-for-6 with a career-best five RBIs against the Penguins, he later added one more RBI in the team's win over Northern Kentucky.

Among his seven hits on the week were a pair of doubles and his third home run of the season. Cline also scored five runs on the week. He had 17 chances in the field and had nine assists with eight putouts.

Connelly was 7-for-16 at the plate to hit .438 over the four games and was tied with Cline for the team lead in RBIs on the week with six. Connelly had three hits and drove in a pair in the team's win over Youngstown State while adding another two RBIs in each of the team's games against Wright State and Northern Kentucky on Thursday.

He had one extra-base hit with a double against the Penguins on Wednesday and walked once against YSU. Connelly had 17 chances in the field during the week and eight putouts, and as many assists while committing his lone error of the tournament against the Norse on Thursday night.

Milwaukee reached the penultimate round of the Horizon League Championship, falling just shy of reaching the championship round on Saturday following Friday evening's 2-1 defeat to eventual champion Wright State.
