INDIANAPOLIS – On Wednesday, the Horizon League announced its weekly award winners with Milwaukee baseball's
Nick Gilhaus selected as the Pitcher of the Week for the third week of the 2023 season.

This is the second career selection for Gilhaus as pitcher of the week, coming 365 days exactly since his last selection on March 9, 2022. He becomes Milwaukee's first weekly selection of the season, and first Pitcher of the Week since
Riley Frey was selected on May 23, 2022.

Gilhaus was vital in Milwaukee's win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Wednesday, as he tossed 6 2/3 innings of long relief to earn the win in a 3-0 shutout victory over Minnesota. In the outing, he scattered five hits and two walks and struck out seven while lowering his season ERA to 1.04.

On the year he has appeared in three games and struck out 10 batters over 8 2/3 innings of work while holding opponents to a .188 batting average. He has made 26 career appearances with seven starts and has two wins and a save to his credit while strikeout out 51 batters in 61 innings during his time with the Panthers.

Milwaukee gets back to action on Friday afternoon, when the Panthers take on the Murray State Racers at 3 p.m. in Murray, Kentucky. The Panthers will continue its series on Saturday and Sunday against Murray State.
