MILWAUKEE – Babette Burgersdijk and Sara Simonova of the Milwaukee women's tennis team have been named the Nike #HLTennis Women's Doubles Team of the Week as the Horizon League announced its weekly tennis awards on Wednesday.
 
The award is the first for the team this spring season and also a career-first for both student-athletes.
 
Burgersdijk and Simonova went 2-0 on the weekend from the No. 1 doubles spot, topping both Gustavus Adolphus and Eastern Illinois by a final score of 6-3. The result was even more important against EIU, as the doubles was tied 1-1 before they finished off the team point in MKE's favor.
