MILWAUKEE – Head coach
Susie Johnson of the Milwaukee volleyball team announced the addition of
Jenna Soerens to the incoming class of 2024.
Â
Soerens joins
Emily Hansen,
Milica Tomic, and
Gabby Wire, who announced their intention to join the Panthers in
early November.
Â
"Jenna is a great athlete from our home state, that we're excited about adding to our roster," commented Johnson. "She is a quick and versatile athlete that has a strong work ethic. We can't wait to have her on campus next fall."
Â
Soerens will make her way to Milwaukee from Oostburg, Wisconsin in Sheboygan County, where she was a First Team All-Conference selection at Oostburg High School in the Big East Conference this past fall season.
Â
This past year, Soerens helped lead Oostburg to its first 20-win campaign since 2019. The team earned a two seed in the WIAA Division 3 Tournament and knocked off New Holstein and Valders before falling to Manitowoc Lutheran in the WIAA Regional Championship.
Â
She had over 300 kills and 50 aces on offense, while recording more than 25 blocks, and 500 digs on the defensive side of the ball this past season. Soerens is a multi-sport athlete for the Lady Dutch and plays basketball and soccer, helping all of her teams to winning seasons at Oostburg High School.
