MILWAUKEE – Coming off a successful campaign in which the Milwaukee men's basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the CBI Tournament and made its first postseason appearance since 2014, the Panthers are poised for an exciting season.
 
As anticipation builds for the upcoming season, now is your chance to take in all the action at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.  Head coach Bart Lundy is challenging Milwaukee business leaders in the community to be part of his team this season with the #ForTheMKE Challenge. 
 
"We are excited to commence the 2023-24 season at Panther Arena," Lundy said. "Our group has worked tirelessly this offseason, and we are anxious to showcase our brand of basketball to the city of Milwaukee. We are calling on our community and our fans to support the program by coming to our games. We have our sights set on competing at the highest level. It takes all of us!"
 
Coach Lundy is looking for 100 Milwaukee-area businesses to each purchase 100 tickets to games this season (all for one game or distributed across multiple games). For this special challenge, tickets will be priced at just $10 each, an investment of $1,000. Milwaukee-area businesses are encouraged to use their 100 tickets for employee outings or holiday parties, customer relations efforts or donate them to their favorite charitable organization. No matter how they are used, it's a win-win for the City of Milwaukee!
 
Additionally, Panther men's basketball is thrilled to announce a partnership with Sharp Literacy this season. Businesses can purchase tickets through the challenge and designate the tickets to be used by Sharp Literacy and other youth organizations that partner with Milwaukee men's basketball. Panther Athletics will handle the distribution on behalf of the business. By purchasing tickets through the challenge, you'll allow organization participants the opportunity to enjoy Panther basketball.
 
As an incentive, the first business with a paid commitment to the #ForTheMKE Basketball Challenge will receive a free clinic with Coach Lundy inside the brand-new Orthopedic Hospital of Wisconsin Center on the UWM campus.  Coach Lundy will provide a "Basketball 101" session for the families of the winning business (subject to NCAA rules) which includes a locker room tour, on-court activities and more! In addition, all other businesses who commit to the #ForTheMKE Basketball Challenge by December 31^st will be entered into a random drawing to also receive a "Basketball 101" session on campus (subject to NCAA rules) as described above.
