MILWAUKEE – Mayya Perova tallied a win in singles play, but the Milwaukee tennis team fell 6-1 to UIC Saturday afternoon from Elite – River Glen.
Perova collected her 15th win of the season at the No. 2 singles position, defeating UIC's Tamara Malazonia 6-0, 2-6, 10-7.
Avery Durham matched up well against at No. 5 singles UIC's Lea Forste-Dinell, but fell 6-7 (4), 2-6.
In doubles play, Milwaukee was unable to find much success as
Greta Carbone and
Iva Stejskalova fell 4-6 at the No. 1 doubles spot, while
Nikki Milner and
Anika Tylek lost 3-6 at the No. 3 position.
The Panthers will head on the road for a pair of Horizon League duals next weekend starting with Cleveland State on Friday at 4 p.m. The team then heads to Youngstown State on Saturday.
