MUNCIE, Ind. – Anika Tylek and
Babette Burgersdijk earned wins to pace the Milwaukee tennis team on the final day of the 3
rd Annual Bethany Moore Invitational hosted by Ball State University.
On day two,
Babette Burgersdijk rebounded from yesterday's loss and came back with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Tiffin's Emily Barrett. Because of a scratch in the Consolation Final, Burgersdijk won by default.
Senior
Anika Tylek placed third overall in her bracket, defeating Ball State's Isabelle Behman, 7-5, 6-4.
Freshman
Giorgia Cavestro battled it out with Oakalnd's Emma Hultqvist, but came up shy, losing 6-7 (3-7), 6-2 in the Consolation Final.
The Panthers will take the courts again for a three-day tournament at the Cleveland State Hidden Duals. The tournament begins Oct. 15, featuring MKE, Cleveland State, Youngstown State and Duquesne.
