CINCINNATI, Ohio – Senior
Anna Daniel Fuentes improved to 9-3 overall in singles play, but the Milwaukee tennis team fell to Northern Kentucky Saturday afternoon, 6-1 from the Lindor Tennis Center at Lunken.
Milwaukee (7-5, 0-3) got off to a slow start after a bye weekend, coming up short for the doubles point. NKU (3-2-1, 1-0) clinched the point after Ananya Kothakota and Elzabeth Rozin defeated
Mayya Perova and
Nikki Milner, 7-5.
From the No. 4 singles line, Daniel Fuentes defeated Ananya Kothakota, 6-0, 6-2 – earning the lone point for the Panthers.
Freshman
Iva Stejskalova played a tough match against NKU's Elizabeth Rozin, but lost in the tiebreaker, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0.
The Panthers will look to split the series against Northern Kentucky as the two return to action Sunday at 11 a.m. from the Lindor Tennis Center at Lunken in Cincinnati.
