MILWAUKEE - Goalkeeper
Nick Chiappa of the Milwaukee men's soccer team has been named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.
The award is the first of the season for the Panthers and the first of Chiappa's career.
Chiappa made four saves to pick up the 1-0 shutout of Detroit Mercy Monday, the second clean sheet of his career. One of his four saves came in the 90th minute to get the match to the extra session, where
Raul Medina came through in the 92nd minute with the golden goal.
Milwaukee returns to action Sunday, hosting Wright State at Engelmann Stadium. Kick off is set for 1 p.m.
