DES MOINES, Iowa – Once again doubles play stood out for the Milwaukee tennis team as the Panthers wrapped up the third and final day of the Bulldog classic Sunday afternoon.
The Black & Gold picked up another two wins in doubles and accumulated a 7-2 record at the Classic. The 7-2 record tallied by the Panthers was the best of the tournament.
Seniors
Mayya Perova and
Nikki Milner picked up their second win of the tournament together, defeating UNO's No. 2 team, 8-5.
MKE's
Anika Tylek and
Giorgia Cavestro gutted out an 8-6 victory, their first victory as a tandem.
In singles, the Panthers unable to get anything going against the Northern Illinois Huskies dropping all five matches.
The Bulldog Classic served as the last fall tournament for the Panthers. Milwaukee will officially kick off the 2021 season at the end of January with the dual against the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
