CLEVELAND, Ohio – Greta Carbone and
Anika Tylek each picked up wins in singles for the Milwaukee tennis team on the third and final day of the Cleveland State Hidden Duals.
Sophomore
Greta Carbone maintained her momentum after yesterday's singles victory, and defeated Ellen Shanahan of Duquesne in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4 from the No. 1 line. With the win, Carbone finished the weekend 2-1 in singles play.
Also notching a victory Sunday was senior
Anika Tylek. After dropping a close match Saturday against Cleveland State, Tylek rebounded with a straight set win over the Duke's Blanca Benet Garcia, 6-2, 7-5.
The singles match against the Duquesne Dukes concluded the Cleveland State Hidden Duals invite, and the Panthers will take the courts again for its final fall tournament at the Bulldog Classic hosted by Drake. The tournament a two-day invite beginning Friday, November 5.
