Getting to Know The Panthers

Over the remainder of the summer, the Milwaukee Athletic Department will be compiling a "Getting to Know" series for fans to learn more about the members of the coaching staffs and administrative staffs.

Today we continue the series with Clare Faurote, the Associate Director of Athletics for Academic Services since April of 2019.

Prior to that, she held the title of assistant AD for academic services since joining the Panther Athletics Department in the fall of 2015. She spent the year prior across campus, serving as an advisor in the Lubar School of Business.

Faurote's current responsibilities include overseeing the comprehensive academic enhancement program for all MKE student-athletes, focusing on the areas of academic, professional, and personal development.

She also monitors student-athletes regarding NCAA rules for satisfactory progress and degree completion requirements, provides oversite to the department's Freshmen transition course (EDPSYCH101 – Success in Academics & Athletics), oversees the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) & Life Skills initiatives and directs the department's end-of-the year awards banquet, The Golden Panther Awards.

Faurote is a member of the Milwaukee Athletics Senior Staff Leadership Team and stays very active on campus. She serves on various department workgroups while also participating in various campus, league, and national organizations.

She received her Bachelor of Science and MBA from Fairfield University, where she was a member of the women's basketball team and later served as a graduate assistant coach and director of basketball operations.
