Milwaukee Celebrates Student-Athletes At Golden Panthers

Peter Andrew and Kelli Swenson named Senior Student-Athletes of the Year

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Athletic Department held its annual student-athlete award show – The Golden Panthers – Thursday evening inside the Union Ballroom on the UW-Milwaukee campus.

The event, which was hosted this year by senior Brenda Hernandez, is an annual gathering to recognize accomplishments from the past year.

Organized by the Milwaukee Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the awards recognized exceptional performance in the classroom, in the community and on the field of competition.

Peter Andrew (men's track & field) and Kelli Swenson (women's soccer) were named Senior Student-Athletes of the Year.
