MILWAUKEE – Eight Milwaukee Athletics teams recorded a perfect 1000 Academic Progress Rate (APR) score for the 2017-18 period, according to NCAA APR figures released Wednesday.
 
Each of Milwaukee's thirteen sports programs recorded a score of 980 or better for the single-year cohort. In addition, 11 of the 13 were at 989 or higher. The following programs posted perfect APR scores of 1000.

Women's Basketball
Women's Cross Country
Women's Swimming & Diving
Women's Tennis
Women's Track & Field
 
Milwaukee student-athletes again achieved high marks in the classroom during the Fall 2018 term, making it 37 semesters in a row with a 3.0-or-better GPA at 3.24 overall. A total of 81 Panthers compiled a GPA of at least 3.8, while 40 of those achieved a perfect 4.0 mark. A tally of 133 Milwaukee student-athletes were also recognized on 2018 Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll.
 
Milwaukee's eight perfect APR totals for the 2017-18 scoring period marked the fourth-highest total across all Horizon League schools.
 
The APR, created to be a more real-time measurement of academic success than graduation rates, is a team-based metric through which scholarship student-athletes each term earn one point for remaining eligible and one point for staying in school or graduating.
