MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Milwaukee tennis team will head to Green Bay for a Saturday afternoon matchup held at the Western Racquet and Fitness Club beginning at 12 p.m. The dual will serve as the Panthers last regular season contest.
BRIEF RECAP: Milwaukee earned a conference split last weekend defeating IUPUI before falling short against league leaders UIC the following day.
The weather was nice enough for the Panthers and Jaguars duel it out outdoors at the West Indy Racquet Club – a first in two seasons. MKE lost the doubles point for the first time in four matches, but came back in singles play to win the match 5-2.
On Sunday, the Panthers fell short against red hot UIC Flames. Entering the match, UIC was on a 14-match win streak. The team fell, 5-2, with
Alexandra Belle picking up the singles win and the team winning the doubles point.
On the weekend, Belle went 2-0 in singles while
Nicole Clarke and
Mayya Perova went perfect to improve their record together at 10-1, 7-1 HL, and currently ride a seven-match win streak.
SCOUTING GREEN BAY: The Green Bay Phoenix are 3-15, 0-8 on the season. Their three wins include McKendree University, Michigan Tech and DePaul.
Both Yazmin Glazbrook, Monika Gredzinski and Tiana Glazbrook lead the team with four wins each.

AWARDS, AWARDS, AWARDS: The Panthers recently brought home league honors with
Nicole Clarke and
Mayya Perova being named Doubles Team of the Week (April 10) for going 2-0 over the weekend defeating Northern Kentucky and Wright State as the No. 1 doubles team. In the two matches, the duo gave up just three games winning 6-1, 6-2.
The Panthers earned league recognition two other times throughout the season in the weeks Jan. 22 and Feb. 25.
Nicole Clarke has earned Singles Player of the Week twice,
Alexandra Belle once and double's duo Belle and Perova once as well.

RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER: The Horizon League Tournament is set for April 26-28 where the top six teams battle for a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Quarterfinals will begin Friday, April 26. The tournament will take place at the Schwartz Tennis Center and all matches can be seen on ESPN+.
