KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Junior
Agata Jurczak entered Sunday's final day at Western Michigan's Fall Invite 3-0, and finished the invite with a perfect 4-0 record in singles play. Day three concluded with singles play only, and the Milwaukee tennis team wrapped the day up by going 4-3.
It took a tiebreaker to come out on top, but Jurczak came away with the W defeating Caroline McAuely from Butler, 6-4, 5-7, 10-7 to go 4-0 on the weekend.
Sophomores
Nikki Milner and
Mayya Perova also went to a tiebreaker in each of their matches, but endured and turned in near identical results. Milner defeated Butler's Roxanne Mackenzie 6-0, 5-7, 11-9, Perova beat DePaul's Lenka Antonijevic 6-4, 5-7, 11-9.
MKE's senior,
Nicole Clarke, picked up the other singles win for the Black & Gold defeating Marija Jovicic, 6-4, 6-1.
Milwaukee will wrap up the fall season with its final invite beginning November 1 at Stetson University.
