MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Milwaukee baseball team cruised to a 10-1 victory over Lakeland from Henry Aaron Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Milwaukee snaps a four-game skid with the victory improving to 17-23 overall, while Lakeland falls to 8-21 on the year.
The Panthers utilized four pitchers to hold the Muskies to just one run, scattering eight hits, and striking out a total of 13 Muskies.
After three innings and up 3-0, Milwaukee scored big in the fourth and fifth innings to take commanding 10-0 lead.
In the fourth, the Panthers scored all four runs after two outs. It was a quick two outs for Lakeland, but two walks and a hit by pitch loaded the bases for the Panthers.

Joey Scaffidi singled through the left side to score
Conner Goodman. The final run of the inning came from a
Colin Kreiter single scoring Schwecke.
Milwaukee followed the fourth inning with another crooked number in the fifth. With a couple of hits and some help from the Muskies with two hit by pitch, the Panthers found themselves in another bases loaded situation. Scoring one run already,
Zach Nogalski and Schwecke added two runs with a single and sacrifice fly.
Freshman
Jack Mahoney wrapped up the final three innings allowing one run on two hits while striking out six for the save.
MKE will be back in action and back to league play beginning Fri., May 4 against Northern Kentucky for a three game series. First pitch on Friday is set for 3 p.m. at Henry Aaron Field.
