MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Milwaukee tennis team, scheduled for two matches this weekend, dropped the first match of the weekend to UIC by a score of 6-1.
Scoring Milwaukee's (5-16, 1-6) sole point of the match was sophomore
Nicole Clarke, defeating UIC's (12-6, 6-1) Rachel Le Comber in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
The Panthers were unable to pick up the double's point losing at No. 1 and No. 2 7-5 and 6-3.
Lucy Harper and
Agata Jurczak, however, picked up a 6-4 win over duo Viktoria Seifert and Miranda Rodriguez.
Agata Jurczak neared her seventh match victory of the season, but came up just short, falling in three sets and losing the tiebreaker 11-9.
Freshman
Loren Nelson won her first set in dominate fashion, 6-2, but fell in the final two sets 6-4, 6-4.
Milwaukee will complete the weekend hosting IUPUI on Sun., April 15 at 1 p.m. (CT).
