CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Milwaukee tennis team wrapped up its weekend in Ohio with a 7-0 loss to Cleveland State Sunday at the Medical Mutal Tennis Pavilion.
The Panthers (4-12, 0-2) were unable to get the ball rolling as the team was shut out by the Vikings (6-10, 2-0) in their second conference meet of the season.
Doubles duo
Loren Nelson and
Nicole Clarke were tied at four games each before Cleveland State clinched the point over
Labina Petrovska and
Anna Daniel Fuentes, 6-3.
In singles, No. 4
Agata Jurczak and No. 5
Nicole Clarke fared the best with close matches losing 6-4, 6-4 and 7-5, 6-4, respectively.
UWM will host pair of matches beginning March 31 against Oakland and take on Detroit Mercy the following day. Both matches will begin 1 p.m. from River Glen Elite.
