Red Hot Zips Extend Impressive Streak

Milwaukee comes up just short on the road

AKRON, Ohio – Playing in its second match in less than 24 hours, the Milwaukee tennis team saw its win streak snapped on the road Saturday morning with a 5-2 loss at Akron.
 
The Zips (13-2) extended their impressive win streak to 13 in a row Saturday with the home win over the Panthers (5-7).
 
Alysa Straub continued her win streak at the No. 4 spot. The senior cruised in straight sets for a 6-3, 6-1 win for Milwaukee's first point of the day.
 
The Panthers also had a strong showing at the fifth spot. Berta Masdevall Masip notched her 14th win of the year, battling for a 6-0, 6-7, 1-0 'W'.
 
Up next, UWM continues its road trip by heading to Orlando, Fla. for a pair of matches against Central Florida and SCAD Atlanta on Tuesday.
